Let's start the blog by praising our dear Lord Gaṇapati.
Here's the Vināyagar Agaval, a divine hymn to Lord Gaṇeśa by poetess Avvaiyār.

The anklets which are adorning the red lotus feet of Ganēśa, which has sandalwood paste applied on it sings various sweet songs praising him. The golden waist band and soft floral dress upon fair hip shine vibrantly like rainbow. His pot belly and heavy tusk, The Elephant face and a bright tilaka of saffron on his forehead. The five hands (including the trunk) and a noose and the goad, your blue body attracts my heart, O Lord. Pendulous jaws and your four mighty shoulders, three lotus like eyes and the three marks of musk. The two large ears, the bright golden crown adorning your head and the broad chest with the sacred thread. Beyond speech your wisdom, Oh bright Lord! You are the wish fulfilling tree.
